Communications Assistant 

Verité is looking to hire an a creative, efficient individual to join its communications team. He/she shall be responsible for disseminating research through different channels, maintaining and updating Verité’s social media platforms, organising social media campaigns and innovating new practices for wider audience reach and better impact. 


Core Competencies: 

  • Fluency in written and spoken English (fluency in Sinhala/Tamil would be an added advantage)
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Competency with MS Office (knowledge of design software such as Photoshop and InDesign will be an added advantage)
  • Good team player
  • Professional, organised and detail-oriented
  • Efficient at multi-tasking and time management
  • Takes initiatives
  • Keen to learn and take on challenges
Qualifications
  • First Class or Second-Upper Degree in Communications, Journalism, Media or other stream within the social sciences
