Staff at Verité Research have been variously involved in providing humanitarian and logistical support for the relief effort in the wake of cyclone Ditwah. Our contribution at an organizational level will seek to go beyond these efforts to drawing on the unique ability of Verité Research to engage at a structural and policy level to have a transformative impact.

Therefore, we are initiating a program to apply our research capacities to investigate the structural aspects that fuel vulnerability, and to engage at a national level to bring about solutions that reduce the negative impacts on people and society due to natural disasters in the future.

Accordingly, we have already redirected internal funds by downscaling our year-end events and gifts to support this new research program.

We encourage you to join us in supporting this effort by contributing your time, expertise or making a financial contribution, all of which will be channeled to make our analysis and engagement more impactful.
