Verité research, together with Democracy Reporting International (DRI) hosted a discussion on the implementation of the Right to Information Act. The panel, moderated by Research Director Gehan Gunatilleke, included Dr Ranga Kalanasooriya – Director General, Government Information Department, Nalaka Gunawardene – Columnist and Researcher on new media, Dr Mario Gomez – Executive Director, ICES, Sabrina Esufally – Head of Legal Research, Verité research, Will Ferroggiaro – Consultant, Democracy Reporting International. The event presented practical guidance on implementing the RTI Act and involved a discussion on concepts such as proactive disclosure and legislative compliance.
