Dr. Dushani L. Palliyaguru is a toxicologist and environmental health scientist specializing in chemical exposure assessment, environmental monitoring, and data-driven public health research. She is the Co-founder, CEO, and Senior Toxicologist of HealthSurveil LC, a firm developing scientific and technological tools for measuring and mitigating environmental and biological risks.

A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Palliyaguru earned her Ph.D. in Environmental & Occupational Health (Toxicology) from the University of Pittsburgh. She has authored over 18 peer-reviewed publications, including a notable first-author paper in Cell Metabolism. She also conducts research and teaching within the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Colombo.

As a Research Fellow at Verité Research, Dr. Palliyaguru is developing a comprehensive framework to safeguard Sri Lankan consumers against chemical hazards in everyday products, including cosmetics.
